
Beautiful vintage Abhla embroidery; also known as Shisha Embroidery, or Kutch. Originating in Gujarat, India. This kind of embroidered mirror work is done using small round pieces of mirror that are decorated and stitched into fabric like cotton or chiffons using silk threads and a buttonhole stitching technique.
This beauty of a handbag is a vintage piece. The front flap has a snap fasten and is adorned with coins. The bag also has a zipper closure, and inside zipped pocket. Wrapped leather shoulder strap, and with beadwork, yarn tassel detail on the side.
